This is without a doubt the best thing to come of the direct-to-video fad.
This is one of those episodes that just takes an absurd premise and escalates it to insane levels…and somehow manages to have a heart in there somewhere.
This episode manages to combine absurdity with just enough sincerity that I can forgive the contrivances that lead to the whole scenario (and the awkwardness which subsequently ensues).
The most interesting aspect of this episode is the philosophical thesis it posits…with which I disagree.

How come the best things in life are things you can’t tell other people, because you’d get in big trouble?
Pearl’s peculiar relationship with Greg comes into focus as Steven tries to cheer her up with a spaceship.
This is an episode I like much better in concept than in execution.
That’s some magical destiny stuff right there.
Everyone Steven meets is a friend, and he always tries to help his friends.
